COOLING AND FREEZING

The special thing about the Fred cool boxes is that they not only cool but can also freeze up to -20°C! This allows you to choose how cold you want the cool/freeze box to be.

You want to have ice cream within an arms reach while you’re on the camping? No problem, simply set Fred to freeze using the control display. Rather have some drinks and food in the coolbox? You set the right temperature yourself.

With the Fred boxes with 2 compartments it is even possible to set one compartment to cool and the other to freeze. That way you get the best of both worlds! Of course it is also possible to set both compartments to cool or freeze.

NO MORE CONDENSATION

The Fred coolboxes work with a compressor. This allows Fred to cool (or freeze) really fast, regardless of the surrounding temperatures. While cooling/freezing Fred also uses relatively less energy than other types of coolboxes, and you don’t have trouble with condensation. With other coolboxes without compressor an evaporator traps the warm air. That also works good, but does mean the evaporated air settles down in the form of condensation. With a coolbox that works on a compressor, like Fred, there is no evaporation and therefore no condensation. And the best thing: the compressor also works on the 12/24 Volt adaptor!
