What is a Smart Home System?
A Smart Home is also called the house of the future. Lots of people believe that eventually all products in our home will be smart. A Smart Home is slowly becoming the norm. It is not strange to see so many products meant for the Smart Home. But what is a Smart Home, and what do you need for it?
A Smart Home exists of a lot of smart products. And a smart product is basically any product that is connected to the internet. Because of this you have much more control over the product, and many more possibilities with it. Because you connect multiple smart products to each other you create yourself a Smart Home. Everyday life becomes a whole lot easier as you can read below:
Picture this, you just woke up. You bed is nice and warm and you don’t want to get out because you know the minute you pull back the covers you’ll be cold. You wouldn’t need that coffee to wake you up, but that is so much more pleasant. You hit the snooze button and turn around. But not before you grab your phone. The coffee maker that you filled last night starts and the heater turns on. 10 minutes later you alarm clock sounds again, and without hesitation you get out of bed into the warmth and towards the smell of fresh coffee. What else would you want?
Dreams can come true
This might sound like a dream to you. But these days you couldn’t come up with something that isn’t possible. The options are endless, and you could make (almost) anything smart nowadays.
Besides that smart products make your life that much easier, they can also really contribute to the world. Many smart applications are already being used to live more energy efficient. For example the smart thermostat. It only turns on when you are home and simultaneously keeps track of your energy use. Or smart lamps that you can turn off from a distance. Even when you forgot to turn them off on your way to work you can turn them off later. Now you don’t unnecesarily keep the lights or heating on.
Smart Home products are very interesting and usefull. Still, they are often expensive and it can be a bother to connect all devices. That is why we work hard to make many of our products smart. We already have more than 40 products that are smart!
